You are not alone.  You will recover.  It's not your fault.

This photo was taken just 5 weeks after Amber began treatment for her PMAD. During the worst moments of Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, Amber had often been unable to be in the same room with her baby.  This moment began her journey to recovery and advocacy and support for other women.

Amber Koter-Puline is a part-time working mother who is originally from Pennsylvania and graduated from Penn State University with a B.S. in Education.  Amber suffered a severe postpartum reaction in 2007.  Since recovering with proper treatment and care, her passion is supporting and educating expectant and new mothers about the postpartum period and being a first time mother.  Amber facilitates new mothers and postpartum support groups in the Atlanta metro area.  She lives in Atlanta with her sons and husband.

Amber writes at Beyond Postpartum.  She serves as a volunteer with the Project Healthy Moms Initiative at Mental Health America of Georgia.
